Summary: (Sequel to Up The Line.) It's Mikey and Alicia's wedding! The nurses are in charge, Mikey has no idea what's going on, Gerard is a cowardly bitch, Frank sets a boat on fire, and Pete has the booze. It's like the war hardly ended at all.

Notes: I totally wanted to read Up The Line. I totally wouldn't be able to read 50,000 words. (But I did! More on that later, mhm!) So I read this instead! In case you haven't read Up The Line (which you should go and do right now), basically what happens is the gang meet on the Western Front in World War I. Everybody ~falls in love, there is blood and death and pain and illicit homosex. This fic continues in November 1919 at Mikey and Alicia's wedding.

My voice sounds really stuffed in this. I had an awful cold when I recorded it. I've been putting off editing this for ages but I'm glad I have. I'm basically going through all my recorded fics, editing and posting so I have a clean slate to work on a Christmas fic (Suggestions, anyone? I wanted to do Star Shaped but it's 50,000 more words and I  really don't want to record another one so soon, even if I have more time now. Not enough though!)

And okay. I'm excited about this. But it's a surprise. Y'all might have seen mention of this around my LJ. I've been working on this for a month, recording like a mad thing. I'm not going to say anything more - except that it's an infamous Frank/Gerard. Let you work it out for yourself. It will be posted on Hallowe'en night. Does that give you any more of a hint? ;)

24 Hours To Save The Sea

I know I don't have many friends here on livejournal, but I'm still posting this.

Basically:

The EU is currently reforming its “Common Fisheries Policy”, but the proposals don’t go far enough towards saving our seas through science-based catch limits. Ireland is one of the first countries to review the new plans and our government is hosting a public consultation for the next 24 hours. Let’s flood the consultation with calls for tighter catch limits and make Ireland an ocean champion who will set the tone for other countries to stand up and fight against Europe’s powerful and dangerous commercial fishing industry.

TL;DR: EU reforming fishing laws. Ireland is reviewing the plans. Government is holding public consultation thing. We want tighter catch limits.

If you guys could click here and send the letter of petition to Minister Coveney, the minister for fisheries, it'd be great. Hopefully if Ireland changes the laws, other countries will follow suit.
