You know what, I give in. I'm going to do the damned challange.
Day 1In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Drop a link to your post in the comments.
Podfic:
Meet In The After Awhile
This was one of the first podfics I recorded, and, in a way, the biggest challange for me. I lost all the files when I was nearly done editing, and it took a damned long time to get it finished, but I'm so glad I did. If somebody else had podficced this, it would be my comfort-podfic, the one I listen to when I'm down. As it is, I don't listen to my own podfic all that often (my own voice grates my ears!) but I do listen to this one because it gives me a warm, happy feeling in knowing that the war is over, Frank and Gerard are happy, Mikey is getting married and they are all happy. After the horrors of the war, don't they deserve it?
Art:
Girl!Frankie
Here's the deal. I'm not done with this yet. But I've been working on it for ages as a gift for my friend, because she made me an actual, honest to god painting. As I am not artistically inclined, I declined on her idea for me to do likewise. Instead I fired up trusty GIMP, and got out my tablet. There is still an awful lot to get done, and I'll never finish it at the rate I'm going - still have all the face details, shading, some bits to colour and tidying, such as making her face a proper shape. I've done this picture from start to finish on the computer, though, nothing by hand so I'm quite happy. (Ignore those lines around her face too. Mhm.)
Podfic: Love, Sex, And Parachutes
It's not anything special - a crack-tacular fic. But it's fun and requires no prior knowledge of bandom so hey. It's not heavy and I listen to it sometimes, despite my aversion to my own voice.
