I know nothing about chart music, seriously. I don't listen to the radio much, but somehow I still manage to pick up on new songs. Most of it I dislike, but some of it is amazingly catchy and perfect for a night out. Here are some of my picks from the Irish Top 50

Stereo Hearts - Gym Class Hereos ft. Adam Levine
This song is amazingly catchy and I really actually like it.

The A-Team - Ed Sheeran
This song actually, honest to god, owns my heart. It's so beautiful. Check out the music video, too. It was filmed for £20 and it's stunning.

Shake It Up - Florence & The Machine
I don't have this downloaded. Mainly because I am waiting to buy a physical copy of the cd and burn them. I support artists I love, like I love Flo + Gang. If you only download one song on this list, it should be this.

Paradise - Coldplay
I'm not a big fan of Coldplay, the whiny censored.   But I rather like this.

Pumped Up Kicks - Foster The People
I love me some Foster The People. It's good to see good bands get recognition. This song is so cheery.

Video Games - Lana Del Ray
This is good. Gooooood.

Good Life - One Republic
Why is this in the list. I don't even know. I'm adding it. Hey sometimes the charts are weird. I LOVE ONE REPUBLIC. I think I shall dedicate my LJ to them. I remember the first time I heard All The Right Moves. I must've listened to that song on repeat for a week.

Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
Yet again, no idea why this is in the charts. Who cares though? Not me. Adding this to the list yeaaahbuddy.

And one album that I adore so much - it's amazing!

Passenger - Lisa Hannigan
I loved Sea Sew (I remember the first time I heard I Don't Know - aah memories!) and this is just as good!

Enjoy!

..but how do they get the fig inside the fig roll?

ray toro + cupcakes = icon win \o/

Hmm, well I found some gingernut bisquits. ugh.

I wouldn't ever change being a total nerd. It's so much fun, pissing yourself laughing at internet things and when someone asks "lol waz so funni!?" and you're at a loss to explain it to a n00b. Or trying to explain, as I once made the fatal mistake. I got a "lol haha yeh dats funni!" back. Wasted 3 minutes of my life, there.

Now to get back to my 1980's MCR works in a movie theatre and Gerard is not gay nope nope nope - fic. (More evidence of my nerdiness. I have the soundtrack that came with it playing and have a few more zombie-hallowe'en ones lined up when it's over. \o/)

THE ETERNAL QUESTION. Which means the answer must be 42 oh god I just made a Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference. Bedtime for me /o\

Boo :( but better than nothing, right? And, ugh, COULD NOT AGREE MORE ♥ the best thing about having nerdy friends is they go with it but get it when you start speaking in LOLcat or quoting Monty Python/Lord of the Rings/other.

Ooh, I don't know if I downloaded the soundtrack, but I think I read that one! [livejournal.com profile] lea_ndra's, right? So much looooove, omg. (that is not nerdiness, it is DEDICATION. EMBRACE IT \o/ also, possibly relevant at this point? I have an entire halloween/zombie playlist, because I am actually that cool.)

I... Might have more than one? Possibly more than 5? I love Hallowe'en with a burning passion. Also because I often end up at a friends house watching B-class horror movies and playing blind-mans-buff because we are all 12 years old. Last Hallowe'en it was the Sweeney Todd soundtrack that ~set the mood. This Hallowe'en it shall be a zombie apocalypse playlist.

... I think it is also time to sleep for me. I might be getting a bit obsessed with re-working these playlists with every single 80's punk song I can find o_o.

Night :)
